Making A Difference

How We Make A Difference

Our community and people-oriented values run through the veins of our companies and staff - it's an integral part of how we run our day to day operations, interact with each other, and the people that we come into contact with.

Collectively, we aim to make a difference through sponsorship at a number of levels including our local dealers, national brands, head office, and the Giltrap Trust. Below are some of the ways we go about achieving this.

Supporting National Organisations

Being a part of the Giltrap Group, a 100% New Zealand owned company; we take pride supporting national organisations. So we have partnered ourselves with the Starship Foundation, New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation, SPCA, the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust, Coastguard Northern Region and many other charities and schools.

International Recognition

We strongly believe in enabling Kiwis to achieve recognition on an international stage. With this in mind, the Giltrap Group also supports New Zealand sports people; this includes a New Zealand Olympic partnership with Volkswagen NZ, and support for New Zealand-born race drivers.

Furthering Society and Culture

As you can see, it’s not just about charitable donations, it’s about partnering with organisations charged with continuing and furthering integral parts of society such as education, cultural events, arts & entertainment, local and national sports, and medical awareness, research and care.

RACE4LIFE

On Tuesday 22nd March 2016 more than 70 adult New Zealanders facing life-threatening illnesses were treated to rides in race cars, muscle cars and sports cars, on Harley Davidson motorcycles and in massive transporter trucks at Hampton Downs race track in Te Kauwhata. Many also had a chance to see the action from the air in a helicopter hovering over the 9th annual RACE4LIFE Track Day.

This very special experience was made possible by more than 150 volunteers and a stack of dedicated sponsors, including ARCHIBALD AND SHORTER

This is the first year that ARCHIBALD AND SHORTER has been involved with RACE4LIFE, which has lately formed an incorporated charitable trust to grant special wishes to palliative care patients from across New Zealand.

“We couldn’t do it without our supporters, sponsors and volunteers,” said RACE4LIFE TRUST founder Viv James. “They continue to give so much and often find that the experience of helping someone live their lives to the full has enriched theirs too. It’s magic."
